Village and the Local Area
Grateley is a quiet village about 4
miles south west of Andover and is famous for being where the first code of law
for England was laid down by King Athelstan in 928 AD. It has a 13th Century
Church, Post Office, good pub and golf driving range.
The area is world
famous for its chalk streams, offering superb fishing for Brown and Rainbow
Trout.
